At Uskin Models we specialise in producing detail parts and small kits for the 7/8th scale modeller this development ties in with our range of model traction engine upgrade parts and services covering primarily Wilesco and Mamod.
So what is 7/8ths...
This scale was developed to use 45mm (gauge 1) track for two foot gauge narrow gauge lines, the scale ratio works out at 1/13th or 22.5mm to the foot (1.875mm = 1”)
Using the above rule of thumb this works for Wilesco Road vehicles as a scale - Wilesco are designed as a live steam toy but have the potential to become scale models as can be seen in our gallery
We have produced a range of detail parts for the 7/8ths railway modeller to aid scratch building of rolling stock and detailing of kit bashed items. In addition we are producing a range of traction engine upgrade parts detail parts to add that finishing touch.
Parts are produced in a variety of mediums from lost wax, whitemetal and resin. All parts are supplied unfinished leaving the painting and assembly to the modeller
